Senior Vice President, Commercial Sales
Adnan Chaudhry recently returned to Salesforce as senior vice president, commercial sales focusing on the coverage of strategic accounts in the US. He was initially part of the Salesforce team in 2008 as the financial services vertical was formed, starting as an account executive before moving to a leadership role as vice president, commercial sales.
He was most recently group vice president, global sales at Oracle where he led the global sales organization for the utilities and energy vertical. Adnan joined Oracle in May 2016 through its acquisition of Opower (NYSE:OPWR), which is the leader in cloud based energy information software and services to the utility sector. While at Opower, he was senior vice president, sales and part of the executive team taking the company from approximately $25 million to $155 million in revenue over four years, and through its April 2014 IPO and subsequent acquisition by Oracle.
Previously, Adnan was an associate at private-equity firm Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, focusing on managing the firm’s consumer and media investment portfolio. He later served as vice president of corporate development and strategic planning at Swift & Company, a portfolio company of Hicks Muse. Adnan began his career as an investment-banking analyst at Salomon Smith Barney in New York.
Adnan graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in finance and a BA in economics, and received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
